Accident at 10 NM E of St. Jean Baptiste


2003-06-25: The K.B.W. Aviation Ltd. Pezetel Dromader M18B, C-FBKW, was landing at a private airfield 10 nm east of St Jean Baptiste, MB. After the tail was lowered, the aircraft began to drift off the strip because of wind. The brakes were ineffective in controlling the direction of the aircraft and the aircraft left the strip. A collision occurred with the refuelling equipment at the airfield and the aircraft caught fire and was destroyed. There was no damage to the refuelling equipment.
