Incident at THOMPSON MB (CYTH)

Summary

2003-06-23: C-GXWH, a PA-28 Cherokee, was inbound to Thompson (YTH) from Munroe Lake and the pilot made first contact with FSS when the a/c was 6 NM north of YTH at 1608Z. The pilot was advised that the weather was below VFR. When a Special VFR authorization was relayed to the pilot at 1619Z, he gave his current position as two miles south, but the FSS Specialist observed the aircraft to the north of the field. The aircraft landed safely at 1623Z. No other aircraft were inconvenienced.
