Incident at IGLOOLIK NU (CYGT)

Summary

2003-06-23: KBA 292, a Beech King Air 100, taxied for the active runway at Igloolik airport without contacting the CARS operator. The CARS operator tried (unsuccessfully) to make contact and advise the crew of another aircraft (C-FASG) that was on short final. The crew of the taxiing aircraft noticed the aircraft on final and waited until after it had landed and taxied clear before continuing onto the runway and then departing for Pond Inlet. At no time did the crew make contact with the CARS operator.
