Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-06-17: During an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) replacement on C-GCPN, a B737-200, it was discovered that the APU fire bottle discharge line that attaches to the upper APU shroud was not connected and found capped. This was reported Monday morning 02 June and a fleet campaign was immediately posted for the next overnight to confirm integrity of the B737 fleet. All aircraft were inspected and confirmed functional for start-up operation the next morning 03 June with the exception of one aircraft that was overnighting at a non-manned station. This aircraft was inspected at the next maintenance station and confirmed serviceable. An SDR will be submitted and a full investigation is underway by the company's contracted AMO (Air Canada Technical Services).
