Incident at LUMSDEN (COLHOUN) SK (CKH8)

Summary

2003-06-16: WZP 6273, a B737-200, was enroute from Winnipeg to Vancouver and Winnipeg ACC lost contact with the flight near Lumsden when a frequency change followed transitioning to a new sector. Repeated attempts on a number of frequencies were unsuccessful. During this period, the flight drifted off J500 and skirted the edge of the Moose Jaw TCA. The Controller advised the Moose Jaw Controller and there was no conflicting traffic at the time. Contact with the crew was re-established and the Controller issued a vector to get the flight back on the correct route.
