Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)
2003-07-03: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that apparently there was a 'finger problem' with the switching on the avionics audio panel. When the aircraft returned, and audio panel switches placed in the appropriate selection, the radio worked normally. No further problems.
2003-06-16: C-GIQB, a Cessna 172, departed from Runway 33 at Saskatoon for a local flight. WJA 15, a B737, departed from Runway 27 IFR for Calgary. C-GIQB then lost radio contact with ATC on departure and turned toward the WJA 15 departure path. WJA 15 was turned left on course to keep well clear of C-GIQB. C-GIQB returned and landed at 2135Z squawking 7600. The cause of the radio failure is not known.
