Incident at LA RONGE (BARBER FIELD) SK (CYVC) (Incursion - runway - animal)

Summary

2003-06-06: The crew of TW 281, a Saab 340, executed a missed approach from short final at La Ronge due to 2 dogs on the runway.
2003-07-04: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the La Ronge Airport Authority has a wildlife program in effect. The dogs are believed to be local strays and their owners have been notified. The Town bylaw officer has also been alerted. The dogs have yet to reappear. Like any number of airports, fencing around the whole perimeter is required.
