Incident at FLIN FLON MB (CYFO) (Conflict - potential, ATS operating irregularity)

2003-06-05: CAV 7519, a Saab 340, was enroute from Winnipeg to Flin Flon and Winnipeg ACC passed the ETA to Winnipeg FIR, which had a flight strip indicating that the flight was going to The Pas. This error was not amended until CAV 7519 was on final for Flin Flon airport. C-GMBA, an Air Tractor spray plane was also inbound to Flin Flon at the same time and the pilot had received an airport advisory without the Saab traffic. The crew of the Saab was also given an airport advisory without the traffic. The pilot of the Air Tractor also asked if there was any traffic at Flin Flon and was advised 'negative' by FSS. Both a/c landed safely. Nav Canada is conducting a preliminary investigation into the occurrence.
2003-06-16: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that NAV CANADA will hold an Operational Safety Investigation concerning this occurrence.
