Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

2003-05-22: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that part number 99-810057-652, the L/H actuator was inspected and the acme threads in the actuator were found to be stripped. The affected actuator was replaced with a overhauled unit and the right hand actuator was replaced as a precautionary measure {both units had the same time in service}. An SDR is going to be submitted.
2003-05-20: SGK 911, a Beech King Air, was inbound to Winnipeg from Norway House with 5 people on board when the crew requested AFF attend the arrival as the a/c had an unsafe left main gear indication. SGK 911 landed on Runway 13, had the gear pinned and then taxied to the apron. NWA 511, an arriving DC-9, was delayed 8 minutes due to the aircraft on the runway. TSB will contact the company.
