Incident at FORT SMITH NT (CYSM) (Aerodrome - other)

Summary

2003-12-02: Aerodrome Safety advised that they contacted by telephone the company, Big River Air, the Airport Manager at Fort Smith along with Jim Windsor with the GNWT Airports Group in an attempt to get the East/West portion of Taxiway Charlie in front of the hangers changed to an apron. This would virtually eliminate these unnecessary and time consuming events. To date this office still awaits word from the Group at GNWT regarding this proposal.
2003-05-20: The driver of Mule 300 requested permission onto Taxiway C at Fort Smith for the movement of an aircraft. At the same time, Mule 301 requested permission onto Taxiway C to go from the ramp to a hangar. Mule 301 was cleared by the CARS O/C as requested. Mule 300 then proceeded onto the taxiway without authorization. When queried, the driver of Mule 300 thought the clearance was for him. No operational impact.
