Incident at LETHBRIDGE AB (CYQL)

Summary

2003-05-16: C-GVKD experienced radio equipment problems while enroute to Lethbridge. The FSS observed the aircraft entering a non-standard NORDO (no radio) approach. The aircraft overflew the field 4 times prior to landing on Runway 23. Three aircraft were delayed.
2003-05-21: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the owner was flying to Lethbridge in rough air. When he reached to the radio panel to select an alternate radio, his hand must have inadvertently bumped the switch to the 'OFF' position. Once on the ground he discovered the problem. Radios checked out 5 by 5 with the switch in the 'ON' position. (He's feeling a little sheepish).
