Accident at CAMROSE AB (CEQ3)

Summary

2003-05-15: The rented Quad City Challenger II/A ultralight aircraft, registration C-IAOF, was on a local flight. A simulated forced approach was being conducted when the aircraft struck a power line, nosed over and crashed into a field approximately 100 yards away. The passenger sustained minor injuries; however, the pilot suffered serious injuries, including a concussion and facial abrasions. He was treated and released from hospital. Both occupants were wearing 4-point harnesses. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
