Incident at TALOYOAK NU (CYYH)

Summary

2003-05-12: C-GPVN, an Ontario-based Piper Navajo with 3 people on board, landed at Taloyoak at 2019Z after a VFR flight from Igloolik. When the pilot turned onto the apron, possibly because of poor visibility, he misjudged the intersection of the runway and apron and inadvertently exited the apron surface. The a/c became stuck in the snow and one propeller tip clipped the snow. After the a/c was pulled back onto the apron, the pilot consulted company maintenance by phone and did a static run-up. There was no vibration and no evident damage. The flight later departed for Cambridge Bay.
