Incident at IQALUIT NU (CYFB)

Summary

2003-05-12: FAB 2802, a HS 748, departed Iqaluit for Igloolik and 2 minutes after departure the crew advised that they were returning to the airport because of a flap problem. No emergency was declared and no assistance was required. The flight landed without further incident at 1655Z. This same aircraft experienced the same problem as the previous day (CADORS 2003C0561) when another flap contacter failed and the flaps jammed at 7 degrees. The faulty reverse contacter was replaced, the aircraft inspected and then returned to service.
