Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)
2003-05-06: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that with the gear down, the crew observed ""3 green and 3 red"" lights indication. The fault was caused by the landing gear lever not contacting the micro switch. The crew conducted a go-around, re-set the gear handle correctly and recycled the gear. This action enabled contact of the gear lever micro switch and the desired 3 green indication. The aircraft landed safely. Maintenance inspected the gear system and lubed the gear handle. The aircraft was returned to service with no further incidents to report. No SDR filed.
2003-05-05: WJA 105, a B737-200, was on approach at Edmonton when the crew elected to overshoot due to an unsafe gear indication. The Tower Controller observed that the gear was down, but it was not confirmed that the gear was locked. The crew re-cycled the gear and subsequently landed uneventfully on Runway 02 with ERS on standby. TSB will contact the company.
