Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC) (Aerodrome - other)

Summary

2003-04-16: Shortly after landing at Hamilton it was determined that KFA274 (a Boeing 727 200 Series) had experienced tire damage. The arrival runway (30R) was checked for debris and none was found. As no debris was found in Hamilton, Calgary Tower was advised by Toronto at 08:30Z that KFA274 may have left tire debris on Runway 34 when departing Calgary. A runway inspection was completed and debris found and removed. one departure and one arrival were delayed momentarily to accommodate the runway check.
2003-04-17: Aerodrome Safety advised that pieces of rubber from an aircraft tire were located by the Calgary airport airside crew at 03:00 MDT. on the edge of Runway 16 at Taxiway Uniform. The aircraft operator was advised.
