Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-04-15: WJA 409 departed Runway 28 at Calgary and the crew advised ATC of a bird strike on departure. The runway was checked and no remains were found.
2003-04-23: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Calgary Airport Authority has a comprehensive Wildlife Management Program in place. Wildlife Control Staff are on duty from 0600 until 2300 every day of the year. The runway was checked for bird remains but nothing was found. Wildlife observations that morning indicated an increased number of gulls around the airfield. Wildlife control duties were being carried out throughout this time and staff have increased vigilance in the wake of this recent strike.
