Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)

Summary

2003-04-09: The student pilot of C-GOLK, a Cessna 152, was on a solo cross country flight and returning to Saskatoon when he reported engine power fluctuations to the Tower. The pilot requested priority handling from ATC and emergency services were activated at the airport. The flight landed safely with no disruption to other traffic. Maintenance examined the a/c, ground-run the engine and found no faults. They suspect that carburetor ice was the cause of the problem.
