Accident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC) (Collision on ground)
2003-03-31: A Beech King Air 300, C-GPPC, taxied onto the Sunwest Home Aviation ramp at Calgary at night. A Cessna 182, C-GSHW, was parked on the ramp and while turning, the right wing tip of the B300 struck the Cessna 182's left wing tip, causing substantial damage to the tip fairing and end rib. The lower wing skin of the Cessna was also damaged. The Cessna is grounded for repairs. The wing tip of the B300 only suffered paint scratches. The composite material of the tip was NDT'd and found to be sound and the aircraft returned to service. TSB will be contacting the operator.
2003-04-23: UPDATE TSB reported that the Beech King Air 350, C-FPCP, was taxiing past a Cessna 182Q, C-GSWH, when the RH wingtip of C-FPCP contacted the LH wingtip of C-GSWH. Damage to the King Air's wingtip was minor, while the Cessna's wing required replacement of the wingtip, end rib, and lower outboard skin panels. There were no injuries.
