Incident at HINTON / JASPER-HINTON AB (CEC4)

Summary

2003-03-25: Edmonton ACC advised Trenton RCC of an overdue a/c, N1970F, a Cessna 337 on a VFR flight plan from Calgary to Edson. Ramp and communication checks were done without locating the a/c, so RCC launched a CC-130 Hercules from CFB Winnipeg. The a/c was eventually found parked at the Jasper/Hinton airfield, where it had landed two hours after the flight planned ETA. The pilot had forgotten to revise his flight plan. The Hercules was in transit for about 40 minutes before the matter was resolved.
