Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-03-25: ACA 128, an A320, lost oil pressure in the number 2 engine while on the takeoff roll on Runway 16 at Calgary. The crew rejected the takeoff and returned to the ramp. Runway 16 was closed until a check was completed at 2035Z. Five arrivals were changed to use Runway 10. No departures were affected. TSB will contact the company.
2003-03-28: UPDATE TSB reported that the Air Canada Airbus A320, C-FKOJ, was operating as flight ACA 128 from Calgary to Toronto. During the takeoff roll from Calgary, the flight crew rejected the takeoff at 70 kts due to a #2 engine (CFM 56-5A1) oil quantity of less than 3.5 quarts. ACA 128 returned to the gate where maintenance topped up the oil and returned the aircraft to service.
