Incident at NORMAN WELLS NT (CYVQ)

Summary

2003-03-25: MPE 444, a B737, was taxiing for departure on the ramp at Norman Wells airport when the aircraft's jet blast moved some parked aircraft belonging to North-Wright Air as well as some containers belonging to the airport. The owner of North-Wright complained to both the company and the airport manager (APM). The APM also contacted Canadian North operations and explained what had happened. The company apparently counselled the crew with respect to airmanship issues while taxiing at small airports. The APM will monitor subsequent flights to determine if further action is required.
