Incident at HUMBOLDT SK (CJU4)

Summary

2003-03-24: RCC Trenton was notified by Winnipeg ACC of an activated ELT in the Humboldt, SK area and dispatched a CASARA vehicle to investigate. RCMP was also notified and checked the Humboldt airfield. A CASARA member knew of a private strip in the area around St. Gregor, where the ELT of C-GCEY, a parked Cessna 172 was found to have been inadvertently activated. The ELT was turned off and the search closed.
