Incident at FORT SMITH NT (CYSM) (Aerodrome - other)

Summary

2003-03-12: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the aircraft in question was being pushed by three individuals not towed. There weren't any motorized ground vehicles involved. The APM at Fort Smith is conducting further investigation into this occurrence. It was suggested to the APM that the taxiway in question be zoned or made into an apron which would help elevate this issue. He is taking it up with the NWT airport staff in Yellowknife.
2003-03-10: Three persons towed an aircraft (C-FGNC, a Piper PA-16) along Taxiway Charlie at Fort Smith from the Northwestern Air Lease hangar to a parking area without authorization from the CARS O/C or FSS. Another arriving aircraft had to use an alternate route to the ramp as a result.
