Incident at NORWAY HOUSE MB (CYNE) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)
2003-03-10: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the aircraft was inspected and the two flat tires replaced. The other two main tires were also replaced due to flat spots. Upon the arrival of the maintenance crew, the aircraft was sitting with two inflated main tires, rolling the aircraft forward exposed the flat spots and the tires deflated. These are a tube type tire as this aircraft has the high flotation landing gear.
2003-03-03: SGK 145, a Beech King Air with 2 crew and 9 passengers, landed on Runway 05 at Norway House with frozen brakes, resulting in 2 blown main tires. The a/c stopped on the runway about 700 feet from the threshold of Runway 05. When attempts were made to remove the a/c from the runway, two more wheels deflated. Temperature was -22C at the time of the occurrence.
