Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

2003-02-24: At 2137Z, when approximately 70 miles north of Winnipeg on a flight to Thompson, the crew of SGK 912 requested to return to Winnipeg due to a faulty gear indication. When downwind for Runway 36, SGK 912 advised they had rectified the problem. The aircraft landed safely on Runway 36 at 2212Z.
2003-02-26: Maintenance and Manufacturing advised that the flight crew reported a gear-unlocked condition when the landing gear was retracted. The rigging to the nose gear actuator and the nose gear micro switch was adjusted and the landing gear functionally checked. NOTE: The landing gear actuator has since been replaced.
