Incident at THOMPSON MB (CYTH)
2003-02-10: TSB reported that Flight SGK912, a Beech 100 aircraft, registration FSKA, was enroute from South Indian Lake to Thompson, Manitoba. During the approach the landing gear handle was selected down, but the gear would not extend. The crew manually extended the landing gear and received a ""down and locked"" indication on all three landing gear. The aircraft landed without further incident. The operator will provide information regarding their maintenance action.
2003-02-06: The crew of SGK 912, a Beech King Air medevac flight, advised Thompson FSS that they were unable to retract the gear after departure from South Indian Lake and the gear still indicated down and locked. The a/c subsequently landed safely on Runway 05 at 2243Z. TSB will contact the company.
2003-02-19: Maintenance and Manufacturing advised that the crew of FSKA a Beech A100 were unable to retract gear after takeoff from South Indian Lake. The aircraft landed safely in Thompson. Maintenance investigation identified, that the RH main gear uplock switch was malfunctioning. The switch was replaced, the up limit switch was adjusted, and the gear rigging checked. Several retraction tests were accomplished and a satisfactory test fit carried out. The aircraft was released to service.
