Incident at Over James Bay (57N 85W)

Summary

2003-02-04: VVJW 440, a U.S. Navy C-130 Hercules, was over James Bay enroute from Brunswick NAS to Elmendorf AFB at FL 260. The crew declared an emergency with Winnipeg ACC when they had to shut down the number 4 engine. They requested to return to Brunswick, Maine and the flight was cleared accordingly at FL 230. No other aircraft were inconvenienced.
