Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
2003-02-06: UPDATE TSB reported that ACA 6081 was en route from Saskatoon to Toronto when the crew noted smoke in the cockpit coming from behind the fuel panel. They turned the fuel boost pump switches off and diverted the flight to Winnipeg, where it landed without further incident. Maintenance found that the P5-2 panel was faulty and replaced it.
2003-02-03: The crew of ACA 6081, a B737 with 92 people on board, enroute from Saskatoon to Toronto, declared an emergency due to smoke in the cockpit and advised that they were diverting to Winnipeg. The Tower was notified and emergency services were alerted. ACA 6081 landed on Runway 13 at 2046Z without further incident. Three aircraft delayed 5-8 minutes. TSB has been in contact with the company.
