Incident at FORT GOOD HOPE NT (CYGH) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2003-01-24: At 2000Z while taxiing for departure on Runway 06 at Fort Good Hope, C-FBAX blew a tire at the threshold of the runway. A NOTAM was issued closing the first 1050 feet of the runway and another aircraft (NWL 105) had to circle for 30 minutes before it could land with a displaced threshold. A third aircraft (BFL 320) diverted to Norman Wells because it could not land with the remaining length of runway. C-FBAX blocked the runway for approximately 3 hours and the runway was re-opened to it's full length at 2314Z.
