Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)

Summary

2003-01-14: C-GYCT, a Bellanca 17, departed Saskatoon for Meadow Lake and Tower observed that the landing gear did not retract. The pilot was advised and he indicated that he would continue to destination, where the a/c landed safely at 1815Z. This a/c had a similar incident last month (2002C1540) in which the electric gear pump burned out and the gear could not be retracted. A new gear pump had been installed and several gear swings carried out successfully before being returned to service.
