Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-01-28: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that company maintenance found glycol in the APU compartment which was probably a contributing factor. The fire indication was confirmed false, the APU fire and overheat detection elements were replaced and an SDR was submitted.
2003-01-06: While taxiing to the terminal after arrival at Calgary, the crew of WZP 6269, a B737, reported an APU fire indication. They believed it was a false indication as the APU was not running at the time. Emergency Services responded and the APDM later reported that there was no fire. There was no impact on airport operations.
