Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2003-12-29: JGO186 DC9 enroute Halifax to Sydney, advised Halifax TCU of an abnormal gear indication and requested to return to Halifax. AFF and HIAA duty manager were advised while JGO186 reported 69 SOB and 22000 lbs of fuel. Aircraft landed without further incident at 1956Z with no other impact on other aircraft. AFF standing by and followed aircraft to the gate at pilot's request. TSB Case Closed
2004-01-02: TSB - Update - A03A0134: JGO186, a JETSGO DC-9-83 departing Halifax Intl advised the Halifax TCU of an abnormal gear indication. The crew requested and received clearance to return to Halifax. The aircraft landed without further incident with AFF standing by. There was no impact on other traffic and AFF followed the flight to the gate at the crew's request.
