Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-12-22: At 0320Z BLR6283 a Dornier 328 from Boston to Fredericton was manouevering for an approach to Runway 27 at Fredericton. The aircraft penetrated the northerly portion of CYR724. Prior to issuing the approach clearance the controller had queried the pilot as to his familiarity with CYR724 and advised him to remain clear of it. When the aircraft was spotted within the restricted area calls were initiated to the CX Range Control Officer without success. Aircraft was within the airspace for approximately 2 minutes. Camp Gagetown ATS has been NOTAMED closed between Dec 19, 2003 and Jan. 5, 2004. There was no other traffic involved.
