Incident at Gander ACC (ATS operating irregularity)


2003-10-29: TSB Update - 2003-10-29 A03A0119: DCE2001, a Dutch Carribean Express Boeing 767 was en route from Willemstad, Curacao to Amsterdam at FL350 with a flight planned route of 44N/40W at 0145 UTC estimating 50N/30W at 0251 UTC and 53N/20W at 0404 UTC. Prior to entering Gander airspace, the New York oceanic controller re-routed the aircraft via 52N/20W; however, Gander Oceanic control was not advised of the re-routing. The Gander controller did not notice the change of routing on the first estimate from the aircraft; however he did notice on the next one. There was no affect on traffic. Gander oceanic contacted New York oceanic control and were informed that they had neglected to inform Gander of the change of routing.
2003-10-27: A Boeing 767 DCE2001 ( Dutch Carribean Express) was en-route from Curacao to Schiphol via 44N 40W (0145Z), 50N 30W (0251Z), 53N 20W (0404Z), at Flight Level 350. The aircraft was re-routed by New York via 52N 20W but was not co-ordinated with Gander. The aircraft progressed by the Gander New York boundary estimating 52N 20W but was not queried by the Gander controller.
