Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-10-20: A Luscombe (FTAQ) was on a VFR flight from Saint John to Saint Leonard and made an initial call to the Fredericton FSS at 1304Z. The call was made when the aircraft was over the threshold of Runway 27 inbound for fuel. The aircraft stated he had called several times while inbound. On landing the engine failed, and the aircraft was pushed off the runway and onto Taxiway Alpha. The engine was then hand-propped and re-started. The aircraft then taxied over to the parking area. There were no delays to other aircraft. The pilot later called the FSS and explained that the radios were working properly in Saint John on his departure.
