Incident at Gander FIR vicinity of COLOR

2003-10-10: TSB Update A03A0112: The Aeropersonal Falcon 900, registration mark XA-APE, was approaching COLOR reporting point when the crew advised Gander ACC that they had a minor hydraulic problem. They then requested and received clearance to divert to Gander Intl. No assistance was required and the aircraft landed at 1658 UTC. Approximately one hour after the aircraft had departed Teterboro airport the crew noticed that the number two hydraulic level was indicating 3/4 full (down 1/4 from takeoff). Due to the rate leakage, the crew decided to divert to Gander, where they landed with a fluid level of 1/4 full. Maintenance determined that the number two hydraulic pump output pressure switch was cracked. This allowed fluid to escape while the system was under pressure. The number two hydraulic system is used primarily to operate the flaps and nose wheel steering.
2003-10-09: XAAPE F900 enroute Teteboro-New Jersey to Torrejon-Spain, advised experiencing a minor hydraulic problem while approaching COLOR at 39,000 feet. XAAPE requested and cleared to divert to Gander. No assistance required and aircraft landed in Gander at 1658Z. TSB case Closed
