Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)

Summary

2003-11-10: Jazz - Update - Jazz flight 8833, a DHC8 (Gander to Halifax) had a bird strike on take off roll. No damage noticed by crew - no voice call out. FSO/A spoke with Captain they were unaware that a bird had actually hit the aircraft. They noticed a juvenile gull as part of a flock of gulls pass under their wind. Tower confirmed the strike after finding the remains. The Journey Log and crew report completed report emailed to T.C.,
2003-09-02: Jazz flight 8833, a DHC8 (Gander to Halifax) reported hitting a seagull while taxiing for departure. Aircraft continued taxiing and departed. Field maintenance removed seagull remains.
