Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Fuel - spill)

Summary

2003-08-13: At 0036Z the Fredericton Airport Fire Hall duty personnel called the FSS and advised that Irving (PLH) had one of their fuel trucks on it's side, in a ditch, in front of Marsh Brothers Aviation Hangar (old Diamond Aviation Hangar). They advised that the Oromocto Fire Hall has already been alerted and was enroute to the Fredericton Airport. The fire hall was proceeding to the site to see if truck was spilling fuel. At 0041Z Fire Hall advised that the truck was indeed spilling fuel and requested that the FSS alert 911 and advised extra Airports personnel. 911/Airports personnel advised and updated. Oromocto Fire Hall on site at approximately 0055Z. The Fire Hall had advised environment Canada. At 0055Z. Moncton ACC Shift Manager was advised at 0055Z. As of 0230z the truck was still leaking fuel and wrecker tow truck was on site trying to upright fuel truck.
