Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-07-11: C-GGIC (a VAN'S RV6 A) was conducting circuits at Moncton and was instructed to follow another aircraft C-GYGC (a C 172) in the circuit for Runway 29 at Moncton. While on the downwind leg, ATC instructed C-GGIC to make a 360 degree turn for spacing and then resume following C-GYGC. When C-GGIC was on short final, ATC instructed C-GGIC to pull up and go around, as C-GYGC was still on the runway (full stop landing). C-GGIC responded that he had the aircraft in sight, and was doing a stop and go, and then landed with C-GYGC still on the runway.
