Summary

2003-07-04: TSB - Update - 2003-07-03 - A03A0079: The Airbus 340 operating as AFR359 was en route Toronto to Paris and when approximately 120 NM NE of Sydney declared a PAN due to an electrical problem. The flight diverted to Halifax and landed safely at 0231Z. Maintenance advised that the number two door floor heater thermostat had become unserviceable and was generating an increasing amount of heat. The heater system was deactivated and collared. The aircraft continued to destination under a MEL.
2003-07-02: An Air France Airbus A340 (AFR359) en route from Toronto to Charles de Gaulle Declared `PAN' 121 Nautical Miles North East of Sydney NS and requested to divert to Halifax due to an electrical problem. The aircraft landed safely in Halifax at 0231Z. TSB - Case Closed - More to Follow
