Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2003-06-23: An Embraer 145 from Newark was on short final for Runway 06 in Halifax and did a missed approach due to a load banging sound in the nosewheel area. The aircraft was vectored for another approach. A blown tire was suspected. The aircraft landed safely. AFF was on standby. The nosewheel was intact and no debris was found on the runway. 2003-06-25: TSB - Update - 2003-06-25 - The EMBRAER 145 operating as BTA2468 was on Final Approach Runway 06 into Halifax Intl Airport. When the pilot lowered the landing gear an unsafe landing gear condition was observed (did not receive ""three green"" lights). The pilot declared an emergency, and the aircraft was vectored for another approach with AFF standing by. The aircraft landed without further incident. The company advises that there was a bulb burnt out. The bulb was replaced, and the aircraft returned to service.
