Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-06-23: A Cessna 172 landed on Runway 29 and veered onto grass south of the runway. The Pilot requested permission to proceed back onto runway to continue circuits. MFC was advised and initially did not indicate any concern on the phone. Shortly after the C172 was cleared for takeoff the flying club (MFC) requested the aircraft return to the club. 2003-06-27: TSB - Update - A03A0067: A solo student was conducting circuits at the Moncton airport in a Cessna 172. During a landing on Runway 29 the aircraft veered off the runway onto the grass on the south side of the runway. No damage occurred to the aircraft and the student pilot requested permission to return the aircraft to the runway and continue with the training circuits. The tower advised the operator of the occurrence. Just after takeoff, the Flight College requested that the aircraft return to the club. The aircraft landed 1356Z. The winds were light at about five knots at the time of the occurrence. The operator advised that there were no mechanical problems with the aircraft.
