Incident at J.A. DOUGLAS MCCURDY SYDNEY AIRPORT

Summary

2003-06-17: On initial contact to the Sydney FSS a Piper PA31 (C-FEUO), which was on an IFR flight from Trois-Rivieres, indicated a problem with left landing gear indicator (the gear did not indicate locked). The aircraft cancelled IFR and proceeded to conduct a flyby. ACC and AFF were alerted, flyby indicated the landing gear down. The PA31 landed without incident and upon checking it was discovered the left gear was not locked.
