Incident at Natuashish NF.

Summary

2003-06-09: A DC-3 FQBC was on flight from Goose Bay to Natuashish (CNH2 Sango Bay). After take off from Runway 08 in Goose Bay the left engine began to develop engine problems. The aircraft immediately returned to the airport and landed on Runway 26. The engine had not been secured and was still operating. The aircraft then taxied in on both engines after landing. After shutdown an inspection of the engine revealed that there was metal particles in the engine oil and a decision to replace the engine was made.
