Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-05-20: A Cessna 172 enroute from Moncton to Miramichi was 10 miles north of the Moncton airport and requested to return for landing due to high oil temperature. The aircraft did not declare an emergency. The aircraft landed safely on Runway 06 Moncton at 1953Z.
2003-05-22: Update - Maintenance and Manufacturing - 2003-05-22 - Oil cooler winter plate was still installed. Summer weather arrived on the occurrence date. The engine Oil temp problem was due to the installation of the Winter Oil Cooler Plate with the warmer outside air Temperatures.
