2003-05-20: A French Charters Boeing 767 AIS1016, which was enroute from Orly to La Romana Intl. was at position 20NM north of St. John's and declared a MAYDAY and requested to divert to St. John's due to a sick passenger. The aircraft was cleared as requested. The pilot elected to burn additional fuel before landing. The aircraft landed without further incident at 1535Z.
2003-05-26: A03A0053: AIS1016, a Boeing 767-300 charter, operated by Aeris of France, was en route from Paris to La Romana, Dominican Republic. The flight crew declared an emergency (Mayday) and requested a diversion to St. John's, NL due to passenger illness. The aircraft landed safely at St. John's without further incident.
