Summary

2003-05-09: A Lockheed C130 RCH875Y was enroute from Lajes (Terceira I. Azores) Portugal to St. John's at Flight Level 170. After passing 4410N 40W at 1345Z the aircraft reported descending to FL130 with #1 engine shutdown and declaring an emergency. The flight was re-cleared direct to St. John's via Gander IFFS. The aircraft landed St. John's at 1645Z without further incident.
