Summary

2003-04-14: ACA 6038 A320 enroute St. John's to Halifax, advised Halifax Terminal of a left-side hydraulic problem. Pilot declared an emergency and request AES due to possible fire from hydraulic spray on hot landing gear components on landing. At 1931Z flight crew advise tower that gear was down but steering was unserviceable and they would need towing off runway after landing. ACA 6038 landed on runway 24 in Halifax. ACA 6038 taxied off runway 24 into Charlie on own power and was then towed to main apron gate. Only one aircraft was slightly delayed. TSB Case Closed
