Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2003-03-24: A Cessna 172 departed Moncton from Runway 29, and after departure reported smoke in cockpit. The aircraft did a 180degree turn and landed safely on Runway 11. TSB - NIL
2003-03-28: Update - Maintenance and Manufacturing - Pilot reported a smell of smoke in cockpit. An Overvolt light also came on. Maintenance discovered a broken wire at the alternator terminal caused arcing. The fault was repaired, ground run & returned to service.
